Second, track record of real property transaction is also important criterion when selecting a real estate agent. Like in any other field of business, the track record of a professional brings forth an assurance that one is in good hands of service. A bankable real property agent is one which possesses a string of successful sales and documentation deals with satisfied clients. Track record may not necessarily involve the longevity of the agent in the business; though it can be a determinant, but it does not guarantee a good track record. A good track record is, regardless of an agent’s longevity in the real estate industry, a series of successful transactions in any real estate deals.

Finally, like any other professionals, property agents also are characterized by their field of specializations. It is that there is a flock of estates broker to choose from but most of these agents are generalist in nature. If one is to engage in any real estate transaction, he should be able to identify clearly what type of deal he is entering into. For instance, he is about to purchase an estate property in the east coast, it might be advisable to engage an agent which specializes in property selling in the east coast. His specialization would make it easier for him to locate, transact and fully consummate the sale in that area, since he is already very much adept with the entire process. One the other hand, if one is to engage in a short sale purchase, as a potential buyer, one should engage the services of an agent who is specializing in short sale purchasing. This will give the potential buyer less headache since the estate agent he is dealing with, specializes in the transaction he is about to engage in. The agent, in this case, may also be able to give him useful tips and valuable insights while performing the transaction.

Engaging the services of any broker is vital to the success or failure of any property purchase processing transaction. Hence, as a potential real estate investor, it is really wise to be keen in selecting the agent which is responsive to their property needs.
